What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use the site.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies
Required for the website to function. These cannot be disabled. They include cookies set by Cloudflare (security and performance) and Cookie-Script (storing your consent preferences).
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) to understand how visitors use our site. These cookies are only set after you give consent via the cookie banner. Data is anonymised and not used for advertising.
Third-party cookies
- Stripe — set during the checkout process for fraud prevention
- Cookie-Script — manages your cookie consent preferences
RUM script (client websites)
If you are a CookieChest customer with the RUM script installed on your website: our RUM script does not set cookies, use local storage, or use session storage on your visitors' devices. It collects anonymised performance data only and does not track individual users.
Future dashboard cookies
When we launch the CookieChest compliance dashboard, it may use session cookies for authentication. This policy will be updated before the dashboard goes live.
Managing cookies
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the cookie icon on our site to reopen the consent banner. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings:
